FARMINGTON, Utah — Sandpoint Middle School eighth grader Nevaeh Therrien won the girls middle school 90-96 pound title at the Salt Lake Slam on Saturday.

Therrien, representing Sandpoint Legacy Wrestling Club, went a perfect 3-0 at the tournament.

On Friday, Therrien competed for Team Idaho in the Christmas Clash Duals. She went 4-0 in her matches while wrestling two weight classes up as the Team Idaho girls claimed first place.

Therrien, who also races dirt bikes and does gymnastics, will take the mat for the Sandpoint High School wrestling team next winter and already looks to be heading toward a bright future with the Bulldogs.

Zak Wood from Sandpoint Legacy Wrestling competed in the Salt Lake Slam as well and took sixth in the 12U 82-pound weight class.
