PRIEST RIVER — Kevin Wylie was sworn in as mayor along with other city council members.

Candance Turner and Billy Mullaley were sworn in as city council members. Mayor Wylie nominated Ann Yount to fill the vacant council position. The council approved the recommendation.

Police Chief Drew McLain presented the former Mayor Jim Martin with a plaque for his 24 years of service.

“As an employee and citizen of Priest River, it has been great to work with somebody who cares so much about our city and has made it a better place to live and raise a family,” said McLain.

He said it has also been great being friends with the former mayor the past 18 years.

The Priest River City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Monday of every month at the Priest River Event Center, 5399 U.S. 2 Priest River.
