Accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative

| January 11, 2022 1:00 AM

Why do so many people accentuate the negative and eliminate the positive? Is it due to the so-called education they are receiving?

It appears as if many college graduates with liberal arts Degrees excel at identifying faults and errors and have little appreciation for what is good in society. Perhaps they should spend more of their time and effort noticing and talking about the positives in their lives. A nice place to begin would be that they have a college degree.

The USA would be a happier, more productive and peaceful nation if more people practiced the biblical recommendation to “think unto the good things.” More of the solutions to improve our blemishes would be attempted and the more we try the more we will succeed.

Instead of being afraid of making a mistake and being criticized, try doing more to solve a problem and try something else if the first effort fails. It will be harder to win if we do not try.

Obstacles will always be in the way. We can overcome them if we give our best, most positive effort. God, our Father, wants all of us to succeed.
