It's my right to do what I want

| January 16, 2022 1:00 AM

All this talk and text about our rights being infringed upon has really affected my perception of the world around me.

Initially I felt I was surrounded by a bunch of man and woman babies who clung to the latest national gripe and reason to act like a victims. Instead of scientists and doctors informing the rest of us of how we might save ourselves and our neighbors by creating a cure (vaccine) they are obviously trying to take away our rights. Never mind friends and family are dying around us, we must stand up for freedom.

Then I realized that if these tyrants are trying to help, I mean control us with their knowledge, then I am being attacked by forces all around me every day. Who gives dentists the right to tell me to floss or even brush my teeth to prevent decay and overall health? I have a right to not brush my teeth and have my teeth impact my health in a negative way if I want to. I can suffer gum inflation and severe pain. It's my right as an American. I will not be controlled and have my freedom taken away.

And why do we have stop signs? Isn't that the state or government controlling me/us? Don't I have a right to crash or be crashed into, hurt myself and others or even die? Isn't this my right and freedom? And what's this nonsense about speed limits? Isn't this a blatant infringement on our rights as Americans? I love my truck and if I want to drive fast, killing others in the process, it's my right. Freedom.
