Free food distribution event set

BLANCHARD — The community is invited to take part in a free food distribution on Thursday, Jan. 27.

Blanchard Area Seniors Incorporated and Second Harvest Mobile Market, in conjunction with USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, will be distributing free produce and other nutritious perishable goods, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blanchard Community Center. Organizers anticipate serving up to 250 families, though food will be handed out while supplies last. The Blanchard Community Center is located at 685 Rusho Lane in Blanchard. BASIC is a non-profit organization serving all age groups since 1987. In order to serve Blanchard and the surrounding communities, BASIC hosts official programs, services, events and fundraisers through on-going program development.
