Wheeler sets meeting on proposed ice arena site

SANDPOINT — Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler is hosting an informational meeting to talk about the Bonner County Sheriff's Office property.

The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Kootenai Community Church, 477 N. Main St., Kootenai.

A portion of a county-owned property near the Bonner County Fairgrounds has been proposed as the site for a community ice arena.

In a press release sent to local media and posted to the sheriff's office Facebook page, Wheeler invited the public to attend the meeting. At the meeting, he said he should share historical background and information about the site.
