SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Jumping Jackalope Axe Throwing to the organization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Specializing in everything from hosting, parties, team building events, and celebrations to date nights and family time, Jumping Jackalope provides a safe, engaging axe-throwing experience from beginning to end. Their hope is to make sure everyone involved has a fantastic, energetic, and safe experience. In addition to axe throwing, Jumping Jackalope also offers instruction on how to throw knives, ninja stars, sawblades, tomahawks, big axes, and machetes.

“Our business is unique in several ways,” Miguel Tamburini said. “We are the only venue where all of our coaches are certified, all of our coaches are also competitive axe throwers, we are very proud of our reviews and the personalized customer service we provide.”

For Tamburini and the Jumping Jackalope crew, Sandpoint was always the plan for opening the business. From the area’s logging history to the place it has become, Tamburini said they love the community, and want to be a part of it.

“It just made sense,” he said. “We will be able to offer Sandpoint not only a stress relief place but a hang-out area where you can enjoy your Wi-Fi, catch a game, have a drink, and learn new skills.”

Tamburini said future plans include adding a simple but satisfying menu, supporting local breweries and becoming one of the top places to hang out and get out of the ordinary.

For those unsure of trying the sport, Tamburini said axe throwing is for everyone and he looks forward to Jumping Jackalope educating and showing people that anyone can pick it up and have fun. He also plans to run competitive and amateur leagues.

The community is invited to join the chamber in welcoming Jumping Jackalope Axe Throwing to the community.
