Reasons for high gas prices don't make sense

My neighbor told me about his son who works in the oil fields on the tundra of Alaska. His son told him, “all of the many employees working in those oil fields in Alaska are extremely upset with the order they received from the White House staff in Washington, D.C., to cap off and seal all of the oil producing wells.”

All of this while our illustrious president goes to Saudi Arabia begging the Saudis to sell us, the United States of America, more oil! I would really like some Democrat to explain this to me in detail while I am paying double for gasoline then I paid one year ago because it makes zero sense to me.
