EBCLD invites all to 'Community Conversations'

Sometimes each of us just wants to talk about how we feel about our community, whether it’s in a positive or a negative way. We’ve all gone onto social media with good intentions of trying to suggest an idea to improve our small town, only for it to descend into an internet firestorm of vitriol and Kermit the Frog memes.

If you’re fed up with speaking into the social media void and want a more human connection with your community, consider registering for one of our Community Conversations. Conversations will be held by the East Bonner County Library on Tuesday, June 28, at 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m. The events will be held at Evans Brothers, and coffee, tea, and pastries will be provided for everyone that signed up. These are the first Community Conversations events in a series.

The Community Conversations give you the opportunity to do more than meet your neighbors and community leaders. You will also get the chance to help shape the future of your local library by contributing to the strategic planning process, which will help guide the library to best serve our community for years to come. By simply interacting with library staff at the event, you will be contributing to this process; no surveys or stiff questionnaires required.

Of course, you could forget all of that and just come hang out with some great folks and enjoy some free drinks and food. Just be sure to register at ebonnerlibrary.org/conversation so that we can save you a seat!
