Kari Saccomanno was recently honored as the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce's March Volunteer of the month

A Sandpoint native, Saccomanno has built a reputation for herself as a community leader. With 25 years of leadership experience in both the corporate and non-profit worlds, Saccomanno is most recognizable in her current title as city manager with Ting Fiber Internet. As city manager, Saccomanno said she gets to do what she loves most, supporting and celebrating her hometown of Sandpoint every day.

“It's an honor to get to give back to the community I love so much,” she said.

Saccomanno is involved with countless organizations in Bonner County, most recently as president of Ponderay Rotary Club. In addition, she is a member of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber Ambassadors, a volunteer at the Bonner Community Food Bank and has served on countless boards over the years.

Bob Witte, president of Chamber Ambassadors and former chairman of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Board, said Saccomanno was a perfect fit for the award.

“She’s definitely one of a kind and an inspiration for all," Witte said.
