PR track sends 16 to state

SPIRIT LAKE — The Priest River boys track team finished third at the Class 3A district 1 track meet at Timberlake High School on Thursday.
The girls finished fourth overall with a score of 42.
Top four individuals and top two relays qualified for the Class 3A Idaho state track meet at Middleton High School on Friday, May 20.
Matyus McLain earned a state bid in the 100-meter sprint, shot put, 4x100 relay, and discus.
Erik Deem finished first in the pole vault, clearing 12 feet.
For the girls, Hadassah Davis earned a spot at the state tournament in the 100-meters event. She finished third with a time of 13.85.
Allyson Barton earned a state bid in the discus event by throwing a personal-best 108 feet.
