Celebrate all things nerd at Sandemonium

Sandemonium is here, and it’s coming home to the library for the first time in seven years.

Stop by this Saturday, May 14, from 12-4 p.m. to embrace Sandpoint’s very own convention celebrating all things nerd culture. Electronic gaming and eSports will be available during the event, along with traditional gaming. Meet up with Magic: The Gathering and other trading card game enthusiasts, find some new friends for Dungeons & Dragons, or enter into the cosplay contest at the end of the event for the chance to win a $50 prize.

You can catch me at the event hosting the library’s monthly mini-figurine painting hangout. Stop by and say hi, or sit in for a bit and try your hand at a new hobby. If you’d like a mini to take home from my collection, you’re welcome to do so if you’re willing to sit down and paint with me for a little while. If you have your own miniature you’d like to bring, I encourage you to do so.

Halfway through the event, I’ll also do a brief demonstration on how to prime and paint your minis quickly using an airbrush.

This is an inclusive event that celebrates all nerd culture in our area. Comic books, tabletop gaming, electronic gaming, manga and anime and more. Even if you haven’t spent much time around these kinds of things, we’re encouraging you to stop by and see what it’s about.

Looking for more information? You can check the events page on the library’s website, or follow this link to check out Sandemonium’s website: 7bcon.com

I hope to see you there.
