Thank you, first responders, for your actions

| May 24, 2022 1:00 AM

On Friday April 8, about 11:45 a.m., my wife and I were on our way to play in a bridge tournament. As we neared the Hoot Owl cafe going south we were hit by a Dodge Ram truck and my wife Mae was injured.

The reason for this letter is to express our gratitude and appreciation for the “take charge” action of Sgt. Flynn who viewed the scene, directed traffic, called the Bonner County EMTs and assisted in making

sure Mae was taken care of by the ambulance crew. He additionally briefed and turned the scene over to Ponderay Police Officer Jeremy Deal.

All parties were impressive and professional in the performance of their duties. Sheriff Daryl Wheeler, thank you to your department and Sgt. Flynn and Jeremy Deal of Ponderay Police, the EMTs and ambulance crew and the emergency room staff at BGH.

We appreciate you all.
