CASA announces advocate training
Court Appointed Special Advocates in Bonner and Boundary counties is recruiting volunteers to begin a training class at the beginning of February.
"We like to say our advocates are ordinary people that do extraordinary things," Kristin Ludwig, CASA director of development, said.
No experience is required, Ludwig said. Volunteer advocates are trained, supported, and assigned cases to represent child victims of abuse and neglect in court.
Individuals who would like to make a real difference in the life of a child victim are invited to sign up for CASA training, Ludwig said.
