Child killed in Sunday accident

On June 3 at around noon, the Priest River Police Department, with assistance from the Bonner County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho State Police, responded to a fatal crash incident on private property in the 300 block of Summit Boulevard in Priest River.

After preliminary investigation of the incident, Priest River Police Chief Drew McLain said in a press release that it appears that a one-and-a-half-year-old female child was hit by a vehicle driven by her father. First responders arrived and determined the child was deceased. McLain said the incident appears to be a tragic accident.

There is no other information about the incident available at this time.

At the conclusion of the investigation, all reports from PRPD, ISP and the Bonner County Coroner will be sent to the Bonner County Prosecutor for review.
