OLD PARLOR ORGAN DONATED

An old-time parlor pump organ which figured in Sagle social affairs since the turn of the century was recently presented to the Bonner County Historical Society by the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor. John and Etta Taylor had the organ shipped to Sagle from New Jersey about 1898. It was hauled by team and wagon to many a dance in the area. There were also dances at home for the Sagle community and sometimes they would hold a dance in the loft of the hay barn. The organ was donated as a memorial to the Taylors and their five children, John Taylor, Mrs. Janie (Taylor) Brisboy, Amos Taylor, Mrs. Nina (Taylor) Reed and Charles Taylor.
