SUMMARY OF CITY OF SANDPOINT ORDINANCE NO. 1404 City of Sandpoint Corporate Seal and Official City Logo AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANDPOINT, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE OF IDAHO, AMENDING SANDPOINT CITY CODE TITLE 1, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2, CORPORATE SEAL; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL AND SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Following is a summary of the provisions of Ordinance No. 1404. Ordinance Section 1 amends Sandpoint City Code Title 1, Chapter 10, Section 2, Corporate Seal, to add reference to and images of the official City Logo; provide that the Sandpoint Mayor or City of Sandpoint elected or appointed officials designated by the Mayor shall be the custodian(s) of the official City Logo; provide that the City of Sandpoint Corporate Seal and Official Logo are the property of the City of Sandpoint; provide that the Seal and Logo shall be used only on official documents as created or directed by the City or its duly authorized officials; provide that the Seal and Logo have been established and designated to identify official city facilities, property, events, publications and other official documents and materials; provide that, except for official City business, it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, organization or firm to make, reproduce, manufacture, display or use the City Seal or Logo, its likeness or design or any design so closely resembling the same as to be apt to deceive or be reasonably mistaken for, in any way, the official City Seal or Logo; and provide that any person, persons, organization or firm violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable pursuant to the laws of the State of Idaho.
