Mortensen returning to Panida stage
Viggo Mortensen, a three-time nominee for the Best Actor award, is returning to the Panida stage Saturday, Sept. 14, at 7:30 p.m. Mortensen will showcase his recent release “The Dead Don’t Hurt.” The event will be a joint fundraiser for 88.5 KRFY community radio and the Panida Theater.
This will be the third appearance by Mortensen at the Panida to introduce his latest film and host a Q&A afterward — “A Dangerous Method” in 2012 and “Captain Fantastic” in 2017. “The Dead Don’t Hurt,” released May 31 of this year, is the story of two lovers on the Western frontier in the early 1860s. Mortensen not only stars in the film, but he also wrote, directed, co-produced, and composed the film score.
Doors open an hour before the 7:30 p.m. start time. Tickets — $25 in advance at panida.org and $30 at the door — are going quickly. In previous years. this event sold out in advance. Again, Viggo Mortensen on the stage at the Panida Theater on Saturday, Sept. 14, is a benefit fundraiser for both 88.5 KRFY and the Panida Theater.
