Dover wants to hear from residents

DOVER — City officials are conducting a community survey to gather opinions from citizens and visitors as part of its efforts to update the city's comprehensive plan.

State law requires the plan, which outlines community goals, policies and future outlook. With Dover seeing rapid growth over the past decade, city officials said the updated plan will address many aspects of Dover's growth, including housing, recreational opportunities and service needs.

The goal of the survey hope to gather as many perspectives as possible on Dover's current state and future potential.

Residents can access the survey on the city's website at cityofdover.id.gov. Paper surveys will be available at the Dover Harvest Festival planning booth Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The survey is anonymous and runs through Oct. 13. However, respondents may include their names and contact information if they wish. Survey results will be shared publicly and will be used to guide Dover's future development goals.

For more information, contact City Clerk Michele Hutchings at 208-265-8339 or city planners at 208-265-4629.
