Buddhist to lead Heart Sutra course at Sravasti Abbey
Venerable Thubten Chodron, author, teacher, and founder of Sravasti Abbey, will lead a course on the Heart Sutra, one of Buddhism's most important texts. The course runs from Nov. 6 to 10 at the Buddhist monastery near Newport, Wash.
The program will feature daily teachings and commentary on the Heart Sutra by Chodron. Guests will participate in the monastic community's schedule of practice and service activities. Commuters are welcome and registration is required. Details are available at SravastiAbbey.org.
