Learn the facts and vote accordingly

| September 8, 2024 1:00 AM

I'd like to respond to Len Golding's letter (Daily Bee, Sept. 1).

It is obvious that Mr. Golding has a low opinion of Ms. Harris and that is certainly his right, but it should at least be informed. Not only has she clearly stated many of her political positions but we have many years of her public service as evidence of her values. Almost every question Mr. Golding asks in his letter is easily referenced. Here is a link to Wikipedia that is a good overview with quality documentation: tinyurl.com/mr6s99am.

I will concede there is no perfect candidate but, given the two choices we are faced with, there is clearly a huge difference. One is a man convicted of business fraud, rape and defamation with many other indictments awaiting the legal process. He encouraged his followers to riot to interrupt the sacred peaceful transfer of power. What little policy he has is outlined is in Project 2025. Despite that he now disavows it, it is the product of all the people he would appoint to high office given his election and describes a chilling vision of democracy.

I embrace the right of every American to form their own opinion and vote accordingly; let's just try to be as informed as possible no matter that conclusion.
