Matthee is clear on where she stands

| September 8, 2024 1:00 AM

Karen Matthee believes it’s important for voters to know where candidates stand on important issues — before they go to the polls. That’s why, she’s making clear she supports Proposition 1 even in the face of an onslaught of opposition and misinformation from the Bonner County Republican Central Committee, chaired by Scott Herndon.

Her opponent, Mark Sauter, has not made it clear whether or not he supports the initiative.

Mark Sauter voted with the majority at the BCRCC Aug. 20 meeting against condemning yet another frivolous and expensive lawsuit against Prop 1 by Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador. Can we assume Sauter is against Prop 1 and our constitutional right to put the Open Primary Initiative onto the ballot?

Karen Matthee believes elected leaders should be accountable to all Idahoans, not just the small number of hyper-partisan voters who participate in closed primary elections.

Vote for Karen Matthee for House Seat 1A because you will always know where she stands and she says yes on Prop 1! Find out more at kmattheeforidaho.com.
