April 10, 1975 – EASTER EGG HUNT SLATED
The Sandpoint Lions Club annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Memorial Field. The hunt, usually held Easter weekend, was postponed this year due to the lingering snow cover.

PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Karen Brown, Christopher Pietsch and David Dalby were winners of Alpine Motors’ Bicentennial Photo Contest. Brown won first prize in the ‘North Idaho Yesterday’ category for a series of photos depicting progress in Sandpoint from 1907 until 1933. Second place in the category went to Merv Bergstrom, with third going to Harlan Crawford. Pietsch won first in the ‘Wheels Then and Now’ category for a photo of a depression era scene staged at the Burlington Northern Railroad Depot. Dalby’s winning photo in the ‘Today’s West’ category was of ski trails at Schweitzer with sun breaking over a cloud bank. Roger Hadley received second place in the category, with another Dalby entry placing third. The photos will be on display at Alpine Motors throughout the month of April.

CP STAFFERS WIN AWARDS
Three SHS Cedar Post staffers won awards in a national journalism competition in Los Angeles. Jim Borden won second place in news writing; Cathy Russell made the semi-finals in editorial writing; Kirsten Thompson got honorable mention in feature writing. Eight SHS students attended the event.

April 10, 1950 – EASTER BREAKFAST
The Sandpoint Elks will serve Easter breakfast Sunday from 9 to 12 in the club dining room, said Ralph Hansen, club steward. Last year’s breakfast drew many members and their ladies, who stopped in for the traditional Easter breakfast before church.

TEENAGE BOYS SEEK CLEAN-UP JOBS
“Anyone with odd jobs, such as yard raking, garden spading, or general cleanup work will find willing workers among the junior high boys at Farmin,” said Charles Stidwell, school principal, whose office is a clearing house for these jobs. The phone number is 240. During 1933 and later, such an agency was set up and ran satisfactorily for both the boys and those in need of helpers.

NEW SANDPOINT JAY-C-ETTES OFFICERS
Mrs. Margaret Kramer installed new Jay-C-Ettes officers at the home of Mrs. Ruth Greef. Mrs. Betty Abromeit is president; Mrs. Helen Melior, v-p; Mrs. Doris Kenney, secretary-treasurer. Outgoing officers are Mrs. Mary Lattimore, president; Mrs. Helen Melior, vice; Mrs. Nikki Tifft, secretary/treasurer.

PFC INMAN IN JAPAN
Pfc William D. Inman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Inman, Kootenai, is in the Far East command with the 7th medical battalion of the 7th infantry division stationed at Camp Crawford, Hokkaido, Japan.
