The Hope House of Bonners Ferry is a local non-profit organization managed by husband and wife, Eli and Anna Pine. Hope House assists individuals and families by offering necessities such as clothing, food, hygiene items and household essentials to those facing financial difficulties and are unable to afford basic needs.

Hope House serves an average of 10 to 15 families per week. “It fluctuates depending on the situation,” Eli Pine said about the amount of people who Hope House helps. “Like last year, thankfully, there were not as many people affected by fires.”

2024 was a challenging year for the Pines and Hope House, as the couple faced some health issues. “Last year we did not do as much as we had hoped because I developed epilepsy in July,” Eli Pine said about his health.

Looking at 2025, the Pines are focusing on their regular assistance of individuals and families, but also the Back to School Bash, which is their biggest event. The Back to School Bash is a free event for kids to get the supplies they need to start the school year off right.

“Last year we had the bounce house at the fair, we hope to do that again as well.” Said Eli Pine about Hope House and what they have planned for 2025.

The Pines want to thank the community for their continued support.

“We couldn’t do this without them,” Eli Pine said in thanks to community.

Those who need assistance or are interested in donating or volunteering can visit their website at www.thehopehouse.us.
