Lance Leslie Lowden, 76
Lance Leslie Lowden passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025. He was 76 years old.
Lance is survived by his wife and love of 49 years, Frances (Frankie) Lowden; children Tamara Lowden, Dean Lowden, Jennifer Karacic and Katherine Thornton. Lance loved his daughter-in-law Melody Lowden and son-in-law, Stjepan Karacic as his own. He had 11 grandchildren. Lance is preceded in death by his daughter, Arline Thornton.
Lance was born in Coeur d'Alene, raised in Coolin and graduated from Priest River High School in 1967. Lance was a sergeant in the Marine Corps and a Vietnam veteran.
He loved spending time with his family whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, or watching football. Lance was an accomplished woodsman and worked for the Idaho Department of Lands as well as Farragut State Park.
Lance was the only child of Marie Fowler and Vern Lowden.
Lance was a loving and supportive husband, a wonderful father and a great man. Lance had many friends and was known for being very funny. He was quite the character and will be missed.
A memorial service will be held later this year, with a public notification for those who would like to attend.
