Sagle Fire welcomes commissioner
SAGLE — Sagle Fire District recently appointed veteran and former educator Ken Hunt to fill a vacancy on its board of commissioners.
According to a Feb. 21 Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS press release, Hunt grew up in Sandpoint, and after graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1980, served in the U.S. Army for 27 years.
After holding several leadership positions throughout his career, Hunt retired as a military science professor at the University of Idaho in 2007.
Hunt is a current member of the Special Forces Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as the Bonner County Sportsmen’s Association and Sandpoint Elks Lodge.
In the press release, Selkirk Fire welcomed Hunt to the commission and thanked him for his past and present service.
