Laura (Lou) Howard (Pell), 66

Laura Louise Howard, affectionately known as Lou Pell, passed away Dec. 29, 2024, in Arcadia, Fla., surrounded by family. 

Lou adored her time outdoors, whether that be hiking through Iceland or horseback riding in the Northwest, but her favorite of all was spending time at the beach.

Lou is best remembered for her steadfast friendships, dedication to her son Clayton, her zeal for life with husband Joe, amazing cooking, her fondness of Irish heritage, and love of sunsets.

Lou was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. 

She is survived by her son, Clayton Aylward-Pell (Mary); her husband, Joe Howard; stepsons, Carter Howard, Travis and Kyle Pell; siblings, Jay McDonald, Leslie McDonald (Gary), Christy McDonald, Greg McDonald (LeeAnne) and Shirley Clifford; her nieces and nephew, as well as her loving network of friends and family. 

There will be a funeral Mass held for Lou at Saint Anselm’s Catholic Church in Marin County, Calif., on April 11 at 11 a.m. The family is requesting that all in attendance wear something floral.
