June 1, 1975 – CLASS DAY ’75 

SHS Class Day signaled the start of graduation formalities for the Class of ‘75. At least 86 awards and scholarships were handed out in the program, emceed by Jim Borden, senior class president. New student body officers were installed with President-elect Brian Dockins taking his oath from out-going ASB President, Chris Pietsch; Vice President-elect Julie Sherwood was installed by outgoing Vice President Linda Rogers and Secretary-elect Bonnie Wilson by outgoing Secretary, Barbara Greenleaf.

RUTH ADAMS’ PIANO PUPILS IN RECITAL

Piano pupils of Ruth W. Adams will give their annual recital Thursday in First Baptist Church. Participating in the program will be Joanne Gunter, Kay Madsen, Cherry Fitzpatrick, Shelley George, Christie Baker, Laurie George, Susan Love, Johna Krum, Susan Fenton, Mark Murray, Tim Fitzpatrick, Robin Duszynski, Kristie Weisz, Mona Heath, Robin Krum, Barbara Greenleaf and Tracy Gissel.

KINDERGARTEN CLASS VISITS FARMS

Lois Scott’s Creative Kindergarten class visited the Bruce Hoffman and Ralph Berger farms Friday. Class members are: Angela Hoffman, Jon Berger, Danny Fredenburg, Monica Sorenson, Christopher Broderson, Eric Jameson, David Sutliff, Kim Bauer, Daniel Chipman, Karin Rosman, Keith Coon, Kathy Brown, Dina Culley, Joey Walker and Amy Curtis.

June 1, 1950 – BIRTHDAY PARTY HELD

The Misses Julie and Royce Drinkard, nine and 10-year-old daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drinkard, celebrated their birthdays Wednesday with a party for their friends. Julie’s birthday was May 24 and Royce’s May 26. Guests were Darleen Baker, Lois Garvey, Mary Ellen Barlow, Barbara Gastineau, Stella Norman and Donnella and Judy Schedler.

WATER LEVEL CLIMBS TO 2061.5

Lake Pend Oreille’s water level hit 2061.5 feet Wednesday, up 2½ feet in the past seven days. At this level, the lake is just a foot below the point at which it will be established for most of the year after Albeni Falls dam is constructed and in operation.

BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ STATE REPS TO LEAVE

Miss Mary McKinnon, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. M.P. McKinnon, will leave for Caldwell, Idaho for a week at Girls’ State, sponsored by the American Legion auxiliary. The American Legion is sending Jack Parker for a week in Boise at Boys’ State.

NEUS HAVE FAMILY REUNION

The William Neu Sr. home was the scene of a family reunion over the holiday week end when their five children and families were all here. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neu, Seattle; Mr. and Mrs. Lathol Hadden, Spokane; Mr. and Mrs. William Neu Jr. and daughter, Connie; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller and Judy; and Mr. and Mrs. Orville McGhee.
