Lehman commits to Columbia Basin College

Full caption: Sandpoint's Drew Lehman recently committed to continue his baseball career at Columbia Basin College (NWAC) in Pasco, Wash. A four-year varsity starter, the 6-foot right-handed utility player recorded a .364 batting average and a near .470 on-base percentage to go along with 100 hits, including 11 doubles, five triples and a home run, 68 RBI, 76 runs scored and 37 stolen bases across 337 career plate appearances. During his senior season, he held a career-best .405 batting average and a team-best .485 on-base percentage, registering 34 hits, including eight doubles, three triples and a home run, 32 RBI, 31 runs scored and 12 stolen bases across 97 plate appearances, all of which are team-high's except the stolen bases, in which he had the second-most. He's a four-time All-lnland Empire League selection, which included Newcomer of the Year honors during his freshman season. Drew was also the starting quarterback for two years on the Sandpoint High varsity football team where he posted 3,034 career yards — 2,264 passing, 603 rushing and 167 receiving — to go along with 33 total touchdowns.
