Cherri Evonne Hackney, 67

Cherri Evonne Hackney was born in Meridian, Idaho, on Aug. 24, 1957, to Marilyn and Lewis Shreffler and passed away June 19, 2025, after a courageous struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. 

Cherri moved with her family to Careywood, Idaho, in 1970 and attended schools in Bonner County.  She soon met Clifford Hackney, the love of her life, and they were married June 22, 1974.

Cherri and Clifford made their home in the Careywood area for nearly 51 years where they raised their children.

Cherri was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Hackney of Careywood; son Clinton (Alice) Hackney of Spirit Lake, Idaho; daughter Corrine (Jayson) Denton of Careywood, Idaho; daughter Camie Yarnell of Arizona; and grandchildren: Michael Hackney, Mitchell Andrews, Kimberly Gull, Shondell Brady, Caden Anderson, Trevor Anderson, Amelia Green, Lewis Hackney, Alex Hackey, Archard Hackney, Grace Crooks; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Westmond Cemetery.
