Go to the dump and exchange moments of kindness

I have a confession to make. I have been down in the dumps, and my mental health has suffered these last six months. If yours hasn’t then you are probably smoking something that is still illegal in Idaho. 

To combat these feelings of helplessness, I try to do something positive every day for someone else. My regular household chores and my recycling efforts for the Soup Kitchen often take me to the Bonner County Solid Waste transfer facilities. I thoroughly enjoy those trips because I always find a county worker or another person with a smile and a genuine willingness to help me unload my vehicle and swap a short story. So, the next time you are feeling down in the dumps, pick up someone else’s trash and … go to the dump!
