Civic engagement rights talk set

SANDPOINT — Bonner County Democrats are hosting a panel discussion to address citizens' concerns about their rights at public events.

The panel will provide information about free speech rights at public events, personal safety and how bystanders can help uphold others' rights. Panelists include Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon, civil liberties lawyer Dana Bowes and volunteer Eldon Renner.

The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 13 at Marigold Bistro's meeting room in the Sandpoint Center. The public is invited to bring questions.

Bonner County Democrats is the local branch of the Idaho Democratic Party.
