CAL scholarship application deadline set
Community Assistance League scholarship applications for all Bonner County High School seniors are available.
Applications can be accessed on the Sandpoint High School website under the "Counseling" tab or by picking one up at Bizarre Bazaar, 114 S. Boyer Ave., Sandpoint.
All applications must be submitted or postmarked by March 31, 2025 , and received no later than April 10, 2025, by 9 a.m. For additional information about the grants, please email the committee at CALSantpointGrants@gmail.com.
Knight earns degree at George Fox University
Cody Knight of Sagle was among the undergraduate, accelerated online degree, and graduate-level students who received diplomas from George Fox University at its midyear commencement ceremony in December of 2024. Knight earned a Master of Business Administration.
More than 4,000 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland and Redmond, Ore. George Fox offers more than 60 undergraduate academic programs, accelerated online degree programs for working adults, six seminary degrees, and 15 masters and doctoral degrees.
Johnson completes doctoral program
Doctor Juliette Johnson, PT, DPT, has completed Idaho State University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program as a member of the Class of 2024.
Johnson was raised in Sandpoint, Idaho, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. While earning her DPT, Juliette maintained straight As. She approaches every academic and clinical challenge with enthusiasm and passion.
Johnson pursued physical therapy to better serve those in her hometown, and to bring equitable health care to all those in need. Kindness is her guiding principle, as exemplified by the care and respect she fosters for each patient. Every day, she strives to be the best citizen, healthcare provider, and human being that she can be.
Juliette would not have achieved her goals without the support of her parents, Brad and Susan Johnson, her family, and friends. She endeavors to make them proud.
