Who is God to me? The hope of Jesus

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit — all in one.

Created the universe, created the sea, created the earth and He created me.

The Word became flesh, the virgin vessel of birth

He lived amongst His people, miracles proved His worth.

His anguish He declared as He sagged on the tree

Reciting the Psalm My God why have you forsaken me.

Feeling abandoned? Or teaching 'til the moment He left?

The answer may be found within the text.

He arose, appearing for many to see.

He guarantees your salvation, His gift is free.

Death He conquered, He reigns as my King.

Ascending into heaven, hope he does bring.

Believe in the cross, let the Holy Spirit govern your way.

Is your name in the book of life? He will return one day.
