Just what Sandpoint needs, more townhomes
Just what Sandpoint needs, another townhouse development to go along with all of the other unsold houses being built in Sandpoint that no one can afford. But keep building boys maybe things will change but I doubt it.
Why not build a development for seniors 55 and older that are single level, two bedrooms, 1 bath, a kitchen, a garage, with no stairs that older people could live in for $1,500 to $2,000 a month?
Most of the retirement facilities around here are way too expensive for most senior citizens. My friend Sol Pursey lived in one of these overpriced places that was a full-care facility before he died a few months ago. Sol was paying $14,000 a month to live there in one room with a bathroom, which I think is absolutely absurd. He did receive three meals a day and some medical care but $14,000 a month, come on!
If I were one of these good old boys who have lived here for years and years and owned a lot of vacant property, I think I would consider building a senior citizen development on that property.
