Bullpups host annual middle school swim meet

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint seventh-grader Myelle Jensen won the 100-yard individual medley, the 50 butterfly and was a part of two winning relays as the Bullpup girls won their annual invitational against Moscow on Friday at the Litehouse YMCA.
Jensen, Alivia Storms, Claire Ballard and Athena de Leeuw combined to win the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay for Sandpoint, which defeated Moscow by 66 points. Storms added wins in both the 50 breast and 100 free and London Leavitt won the 50 free in the winning effort.
On the boys side, seventh-grader Josh Jackson won the 50 back and 100 free while Andrew Ford was victorious in the 100 individual medley and the 50 breast. Tucker Hanson added a win in the 50 free, Leo Montecchi won the 25 free, and Ford, Hanson, Jackson and Gunnar Gustafson took home gold in the 200 free relay.
The Bullpups will head to the University of Idaho Swim Center in Moscow on Friday to face the Bear cubs for their final meet of the season.
