Matchwood Brewing named top chamber business

SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce has named Matchwood Brewing Company as the organization’s business of the month for May 2025. The brewery was selected due to its exceptional leadership, community impact, and dedication to the greater Sandpoint area, chamber officials said. 

Matchwood has become much more than a brewery — it’s a vibrant gathering space rooted in service, compassion, and connection, Mickey Quinn, chamber executive director, said. Most recently, Matchwood hosted Leadership Sandpoint’s Tres de Mayo fundraiser, supporting the Sandpoint Teen Center, an organization that provides vital resources and safe spaces for local youth. 

Matchwood also served as the host venue for Live Give 7B’s culminating celebration this spring, continuing its active support for local philanthropy and nonprofit collaboration. 

Beyond hosting events, Matchwood offers its community room to local organizations, providing a much-needed space for connection and planning. Regular users of this space include Pend Oreille Pedalers, Pro-Voice Project, and the Pend Oreille Alliance for Education. 

Furthering their impact, Matchwood also brews the Community Can — a specialty beer where 100% of the proceeds are donated to a local cause. This creative initiative blends craft and care, helping raise awareness and funding for community needs, one pint at a time, Quinn said.
