As the superintendent of the Lake Pend Oreille School District, I am excited to share about LPOSD’s focus on student connection, one of the four key areas in our Strategic Plan. Student connection includes many aspects of engaging with students - increasing academic engagement through hands-on learning, re-establishing attendance expectations to boost achievement, and ensuring all students feel connected to their school environments. At the core of our district’s educational philosophy, the students are our "why" and our highest priority.

Meyer, Rae named to Critchfield transition team

Members of the Superintendent-elect Debbie Critchfield’s transition committee have ties to the area. Named to the committee are Dr. Becky Meyer, superintendent of the Lake Pend Oreille School District; and Teresa Rae, a trustee with the Boundary County School District in Bonners Ferry.
