Sandpoint High School alumna Amber Laiche (‘17) will be holding a youth dance camp at the Sandpoint Middle School Gym on June 17-20 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Sign-ups for campers ages 7-13 are now open. Cost of admission will be $50 per dancer, or $95 for a pair of siblings.

Dancers will be grouped based on experience with different styles of dance. They will work on kicks, leaps, and turns. Flexibility, technique, and choreography will also be major focus areas. The final showing will take place on June 20 at 11:30 a.m., in which there will be a performance for friends and family to see what the dancers learned all week.

Laiche has competed in dance for 15 years. She is majoring in dance and is a member of the dance team at the University of Montana. Laiche and the dance team have performed at a variety of Division I sporting events, including two trips to the NCAA Tournament to cheer on the Montana men’s basketball team. She has studied all genres of dance but the camp will focus on jazz, hip hop, and pom.

Additional information and registration forms can be completed at amberlaichedancecamp.com. or by calling 208-304-9145.
