A chart of the US national debt since our founding is a good indicator of when wars were fought, at least through World War II. The U.S. ran deficits during wartime, which caused the debt to peak at the end of wars, and surpluses following wars, which caused the debt to shrink. In fact, a string of surpluses after the War of 1812 paid off the debt in 1835, the only time in history the debt was zero. It now stands at over $21 trillion.

If we are to believe this is a good thing one would have to think that past adminiatrators simply made up regulations for no reason whatsoever except to get in the way of business and thier profits. This is nonsense and these de-regulatory actions are dangerous and bad for the environment and human health.

Booker's fate determined by bookmobile survey
Mary Lemist Titcomb wanted to expand library services outside the main location where she served as the first librarian at the Washington County Free Library in 1905. In the largely rural area of Hagerstown, Maryland, she saw the need to provide access to materials to the homes of people who could not make it to the library regularly. Beginning with outreach to outlying businesses and community gathering places, she eventually conceptualized a horse-drawn “library wagon” that later became the first mobile library service. In 1912, the county aqcuired its first motorized bookmobile.

Backing collaborative forest management
The U.S. Forest Service reports that between 2010 and 2016, Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program projects resulted in the treatment of more than 2.4 million acres to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires and the maintenance of 630 miles of trails. The agency also found that $1.2 billion in local labor income, and an average of 5,180 jobs were created or maintained each year nationwide through CFLRP projects. Each fire season, the threat of wildfires bears down on many of Idaho’s forested communities — much of which have also been hard hit by limited job opportunities. Extending the reach of this program that supports forest health and related jobs makes sense. Senator Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and I led a bipartisan group of senators, including fellow Idaho Sen. Jim Risch, in introducing S. 2811 that would reauthorize and expand this program.

Trump’s making mincemeat of the left. All the ranting coming from the progressives is in vain. The Democratic party is dead. We’re out of Obama’s disastrous Iran deal, out of the BS United Nation’s Human Rights Council, out of the useless and costly Paris climate accord, we’re saving healthcare and the way vets get medical help, rolling back Obama’s regulatory strangle hold on business, putting green energy in its rightful place, defanged forced union dues and their support of progressive policy, trying to control the borders, renegotiating unfair trade deals, lowering taxes, making NATO members pony up their share, rebuilding the military, and setting up the SCOTUS for the next 40 years to interpret the Constitution as it was written.
