We were very pleased to learn that Harvey Thompson will be running for sheriff of Bonner County. He and his wife, Carolyn, are a very pleasant couple who genuinely care about others.
When we bought our property near Sagle many years ago, Harvey and Carolyn were the first couple we got to know. Harvey has always been good to check our property when we are not at home, and he has often plowed snow from our driveway without even being asked. He would not take money offered for his services, and has frequently volunteered his time and labor in helping us to build our home.
Harvey has the type of personality which makes him dedicated to the betterment of the community. He cares about people —friends, neighbors, his fellow officers, and others — and is willing to give of himself and his time to make life in Bonner County better for everyone. He has many years of experience in law enforcement and knows firsthand what his fellow deputies face every time they respond to a call. His concern for them and for the public in general, as well as his unique ability to resolve conflicts, will make Harvey Thompson one of the best sheriffs northern Idaho has ever seen.
