Tom Sumpter,

37, of Moyie Springs passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2004, at the Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry. Tom went to join his father Jerry McMillan in heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in the Crossroads Community Chapel in Bonners Ferry with Pastor Gayle Morman officiating.

Tom was born in Henderson, Nev., and was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tom loved to restore old Chevy automobiles, camping, fishing, boating, motorcycles and 4x4ing in his '72 Chevy Blazer.

He is survived by his wife Diane; three sons, Jordan, Jesse, and Nathan, a daughter, Clarissa; grandparents, Ralph and Kella Tullis; his mother, Connie Tullis; four brothers, Jim Sumpter, Dave Summers, Jed and Kevin McMillan; his father- and mother-in-law, Verlyn and Jonell Syth, brother-in-laws, Darryl and Dale Syth; and numerous family and friends.
