Sandpoint goes flat in the sixth

COEUR d'ALENE — Tom Barlow's RBI ground-rule double over the right fielder's head with two out in the sixth inning scored K.C. McDonald to break a 3-all tie for Lake City in the Inland Empire League game.

Zach Green struck out seven, walked two and allowed four hits in six innings for the Timberwolves (3-0 IEL, 5-2), who won despite committing five errors and leaving nine runners on base.

Chris Karle hit a two-run single in the first inning for Sandpoint (1-6, 2-7). Brent Scott struck out four and walked six.

Lake City travels to Post Falls today at 4.
