Spartans and Wildcats battle in IML meet

KELLOGG — Athletes braved a half-hour rainstorm during the first meet at the new Dale Hunt Track at Kellogg Middle School as both teams split as the Kellogg boys ran to a 96-41 win, while the Lady Spartans got the best of Kellogg in a 74-62 win.

Picking up wins for the boys team from Kellogg were Tyler Powers, Tom Gillies, Kyle Mann, Hank Yergler, Jared Cochrane and Eli Bourgard. The Wildcats took home the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:540.75 and the 4x100 in a time of 48.87.

Winning on the girls side from Kellogg were Jamie Brower, Lynsey Seltenreich, Tahnee Miller and Emily Arthurs. The Wildcats 800 team took first place with a time of 2:13.31.

Kellogg travels to the Bonners Ferry Invite Saturday at 10 a.m.
