Doris Garrison, 91

Longtime Sandpoint resident Doris Garrison, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2004, in Coeur d'Alene.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ellis Miler officiating.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Coffelt's Moon Chapel on Pine and Division streets.

Doris was born on July 22, 1912, in Sandpoint, the daughter of Byron and Viola (Tilton) Cotter. She grew up and attended schools in Bonner County.

She married Enoch Garrison on Dec. 15, 1928, in Bonners Ferry.

Doris enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area and on Lake Pend Oreille with her husband, Enoch.

Doris lived in Coeur d'Alene for the past few years, residing at Pinewood Care Center where her son, Jerry, works.

She is survived by two children, Viola (Carl) Bonner of Weippe and Jerry (Wanda) Garrison of Hayden; seven grandchildren, Ken Garrison of Post Falls, Alan (Laura) Garrison of Hayden, Steve (Gina) Garrison of Post Falls, LeOrla (Gary) Jackson of Hayden, Jeri Ann (Harold) McConnel of Hayden, Dorrie (Rick) Province of Sandpoint, and Rich (Flossie) Kelley of Irrigon, Ore.; and nine great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Beatrice; and a brother, Larry.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
