Invitation to Bid
The City of Sandpoint, Idaho will accept bids at the City Clerks Office at 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864, until Monday, May 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Immediately thereafter, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the presence of the bidders in the conference room at city hall. Bidders are invited, but not required, to attend the bid opening. Bids received later than the above referenced time will not be considered for award.
BIDS SHALL CONSIST OF A "NEW, UNUSED, COMBINATION VACUUM HYDRO CLEANER." The combination sewer cleaner shall be designed to perform cleaning and removal of sand, stone, bottles, cans, grease, sludge and other materials from basins, pits, pump stations, tanks and sanitary or storm water drain lines. The machine may be a single engine or a dual engine design. It shall provide a high pressure jet rodding system and a vacuum system for the removal of debris. It shall be a truck mounted on a chassis described in these Specifications.
Bids shall be prepared on forms supplied by the City of Sandpoint. There is a no charge for the bid packet.
The City of Sandpoint reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City. The City of Sandpoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The City of Sandpoint is exempt from Federal and State taxes and will execute the required exemption certificates.
In determining the lowest responsive bid. the City of Sandpoint will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with specification requirements, and net cost over the life of the contract.
All bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Sandpoint, City Clerks Office, 1123
Lake Street, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864. "Sealed Bids", "New, Unused Combination Vacuum Hydro Cleaner".
