Winn fans 14 in IML victory

| April 20, 2004 9:00 PM

BONNERS FERRY — Senior ace Will Winn struck out 14 St Maries Lumberjacks and put a halt to a six game Badger losing streak, winning 7-3. Winn only gave up three hits, and Badger errors led to every Jack run.

"We have been going through a real tough time for two weeks," said Bonners coach Tom Turpin, "And it is only fitting that Will put a stop to it for us. He is our horse, and he keeps us in every game even when he isn't getting the support he deserves."

Danny Swift hit a two-run single in the third to break a 3-3 tie. Freshman Josh Hawks and sophomore Cody Rubin each scored two runs for the Badgers.
