Jost throws a no-hitter, T-wolves sweep 'dogs

SANDPOINT — Opening the Inland Empire League softball doubleheader against Sandpoint at Travers Park, Lake City's Kelly Jost pitched six innings for a no-hitter en route to her seventh win of the season, 11-0.

Sandpoint was able to hold the Timberwolves scoreless for three innings, however, in the fourth, Lake City rallied eight runs and never looked back.

In the second game, Lake Ciyt won 10-0 and Richelle Fennebock earned her first win of the season by giving up four hits, while being backed up by an error free defensive effort.

Fennebock also finished the night, leading the T-wolves at the plate, with three hits.

Highlighting Sandpoint's offensive efforts in game two was Kelly Cox who crushed a triple to left-center field in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Sandpoint will host Timberlake today at Travers.
