Kootenai edges Clark Fork in Silver Valley

SILVERTON — Kootenai's Jesse Dyer won the 100, 200 and Triple jump on Tuesday afternoon to help the Warriors boys track team edge Clark Fork for a 61-58 win in the team standings at the Wallace Invite on Tuesday in Silverton.

Wallace senior Gretchen Bailey also won three events on the day, with a 12.7 in the 100, 16-7 in the Long jump and 26.6 in the 200.

Mullan senior Jimmy Hegbloom took a pair of events with wins in the Shot put and Triple jump with a 47 foot jump. Alex Maxwell of Wallace won the 400 in a time of 1:01. Mullan sophomore Cory Pehan took second in both the Triple and High jump with a 39-9 and 18-3 respectively.

Mullan junior Anali Carrico finished first in the Triple jump and the 400 in a time of 1:04. Tiger teammate Kaitlyn Valerio finished the 400 right on Carrico's heels in a time of 1:07 for second place. Miner freshman Vanessa Loper came in second in the Triple jump with a 30-7 mark.

Wallace's girls 4x200 team took first place in their relay with a time of 1:59.

Wallace/Mullan will travel to the Timberlake Invite Saturday at 10 a.m.
