Sandra Joan Cove Radis, 66, lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, in Choctaw, Okla.

No services are planned.

Sandra was born in Spokane, Wash., on Nov. 20, 1937, to Herbert and Byrdene Davis. She attended Stevens Grade School and North Central High School.

She married Leo Cove in 1955 and they moved to Otis Orchards, Wash., and bought a small farm. Together with their seven children, they moved to Sandpoint in 1968 and purchased the Anchorage Bar and Hotel on Pine Street.

Along with her hard work, she played, too, and won the first women's powder puff in Car No. 11 at Panhandle Raceways in Colburn, Idaho.

Leo passed away in 1976.

In 1981, she married Ronald Radis and they moved to Bullhead City, Ariz., where she worked for 17 years at the Laughlin Resort and Casino, then eventually to Choctaw, Okla., to be near her eldest daughter, Debbie.

Sandra enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching TV and keeping in touch with her children. She will be missed.

Survivors include her husband Ron at the home; her daughters, Debbie (Dorsey) Martin of Choctaw, Okla., Susan Cove of Colorado Springs, Colo., Patricia (Larry) Peak of Sandpoint, June (Cliff) Boyd of Colorado Springs, Betsy (Troy) Dexter of Ferndale, Calif., Jenny (Marty) Ross of Falcon, Colo.; a son, Patrick (Stephanie) Cove of Hayden Lake; a sister, SaraLee (Craig) Buhl and nieces, Tina Peters and Jeannie Mitchell of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert; her mother, Byrdene; a sister, Donna; and numerous aunts and uncles.
